Sandakan = Town and Orang Hutan

SANDAKAN. From Mt Kinabalu, we travelled southward to Sandakan, the former Capital of Sabah. Managed to locate a hotel along the seafront . Swissview seafront hotel is nice and affordable at RM160/night with breakfast. Right in front of hotel, we were enjoying our beer. In the morning, the seafront bustled with outboard motors and sampans as fishermen starts their daily catch. With the rising sun, Qigong along this wharf provides excellent opportunity to recharged our tired bodies.

ORANG HUTAN Rehab Forestry, This is one of the remainding 5 centres around the world. Sepilok Orang Hutan Centre nestled in deep primary forest. At 3pm some of Ah Meng's relatives came out for their food .. Commonly called " Man Of The Jungle ", the main difference betwwen us man and orang hutan is the size of our brains.

Town Centre, Ferry points and Wet markets are some of the areas we visited during our stay at Sandakan. It has many activities and programs, but we were only able to see the few we selected. The 1st stop that we put up for 2 nights indicates the vibrancy of this town. Bagpackers accomodations are common and quite a few to choose from. At RM$25 /night, they are generally clean, comfortable and well managed. Good for budget travellers

Neo Chian and myself at tourosm centre. We find it very interesting and helpful
