BRUNEI Here We Come. All Set To Go and having decided that we reverse our plan to start from Brunei and ending in Sumatra in view of the earthquake in Padang, Sumatra, Neo Chian very quickly sorted out the admin work. Our schedule to depart remains unchanged with D Day being 15 Oct. Our plan to cover Borneo Island first. Brunei and East Malaysia and then Kalimantan, Indonesia would take us some 3 weeks. The overall journey over 2 to 2.5 months remain unchanged so that we will be back in Orchard Road to see the Xmas lightings.

Our prime concern to meet our timeline is the challenge to manage and meet " Ferry schedules " when we reach the islands of Sulawesi, Florets, Sumbawa, Lombok and Bali. Once that is thru, flexibility to trim or extend stays on Java island will be easier to manage. Sumatra island as our final leg will depend largerly on the route thru Padang, Sumatra. We may have to end at Anyer Blacksand Resort around Tg Priok.

At home all preparations were completed and Neo Chian's pajareo will arrive in Brunei 0n 14 Oct.
We expect to receive the car on 15 Oct and would probably stay 2 to 3 days, beef up our final logistics , get first hand updates from our Bruneian friends and set out for East Malaysia.

In Brunei, we expect quite a bit of catch up . Visiting places of interests and meeting old friends would definetely bring back fond memories which I am personally looking forward to.
Brunei 6 star Empire Hotel and Country Club will be our first taste of a good autoventure. With the seafront and a wonderful golf course, the " FUN " is about to begin.
